The notorious Wakilu terrorizing the people of Igangan in Ibarapa town has been nabbed by members of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), in Ibarapa, Oyo State.
The notorious Wakilu, who has been indicted with his gangs to be responsible for many of the atrocious acts like kidnapping, harassing and deaths that occurred in Ibarapaland to the extent that he has become fearful by natives of the land.
It can be recalled that Wakilu became known after the eviction of Seriki Fulani from Igangan by Sunday Igboho and his men, and Seriki’s son dared Igboho to try what he did to his father with Wakilu. Meanwhile, since then, the search for Wakilu has become impossible to avoid by warriors in Yorubaland.
It was also reported that the dreaded Wakilu marked his illegal and forcefully gained land in the forest of Ibarapaland with red clothes which symbolizes danger and a zone that couldn’t be trespassed by anyone. It was also reported that the notorious Wakilu and his gangs also opened fire on some emissaries sent by the Oba to issue him a quit notice.
However, Wakilu’s deputy and some gang members were apprehended by same members of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in the forest of Ibarapaland last month
