The Chairman House Committee on Finance, Rt. Hon. James Faleke has hailed the resilience of the girl-child in Nigeria and around globe in overcoming challenges in their determination to succeed in life .

According to him “Little girls are the future, when we teach them to accept their God given identity and educate them on safety, we help them to find themselves and lead the way.” Whilst educating girls and teaching them the safety in abstaining from body abuse, we are saving lives and building stronger families, communities and economies for the future. This is because an educated female population making wise choices increases a country’s productivity and fuels economic growth.

According to Rt. Hon. Faleke the plenary session was a momentous occasion as I stood alongside my colleagues in the House to celebrate the “GIRL CHILD.” Our daughters are the pride of our beloved nation, and empowering them is crucial for the rapid development necessary for nation-building.
