The Divisional Party Chairman PDP Dekina Local Government Alh Husseini Ibrahim Speaks Unity Among Party Faithful..

I have, therefore, chosen this time and this platform to PREACH a topic on which ignorance too often abounds and the TRUTH is too rarely perceived–yet it is the most IMPORTANT topic on earth: PEACE.

If we all have no peace in all, it is because we all have forgotten that we belong to each other.

I want to at this very outset bring to our consciousness that there is hope. There is genuine hope that can bring joy back to us. Like rain on a drought-ridden desert, hope will refresh our lives and bring us lasting peace. Where does such hope come from? It is a product of you and me. And how does it come from you and me? By showing love instead of hate. I speak of peace because of the new face of politics.

Let us cross-examine and doublecheck our attitude toward peace itself. Too many of us think it is impossible. Too many think it unreal. But that is a dangerous way of living in our world.

We all need not accept that view. Our problems are manmade-therefore, they can be solved only by man. And man can be as good as he wants. There’s no problem of human destiny that is beyond human beings. Our reason and spirit have often solved the seemingly unsolvable-and we believe they can do it again. So come all let us reason together.

So, let us not be blind to our interests (differences)–but let us also direct attention to our common party interests and to the means by which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our party’s future. And we are all members of our great party PDP.

Like I say always, I am a servant leader, and I am at peace with everyone in our great party and by extension everybody.

Signed
Alhaji Ibrahim Hussein
