THE DIGNITY OF LEADERSHIP POWER IS SELFLESS SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE–Hon Zakari Alfa.

The Gubernatorial Aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming Kogi state Governorship election, Hon Zakari Alfa said, the dignity of leadership power is selfless service to the people.
He explained that, the opposite of selfless service leadership is self-help service leadership which is mostly practiced today in the developing States. Hon Zakari Alfa said, the principle of selfless service leadership connotes the idea of reality that, the interest of the people and their state supersede the interest of one individual no matter the status. Hon Zakari Alfa said, a leader should equally see himself as a servant and not the owner of the state, that the state belongs to the people. According to Hon Zakari Alfa, he said, selfless service leadership is uncommon style in view of the strong conception that, the purpose of political leadership is to control the finance and economic resources of the state.

Hon Zakari Alfa further explained that, because of personal interest in leadership, the important aspect of it which is selfless service to the people of the state is grossly ignored. According to him, any leader that lacks capacity and integrity to provide quality selfless service leadership to the people also lacks patriotism and unsuitable.
He said, lack of political will and integrity to provide selfless leadership brings about mass poverty and infrastructural deficit in the state. This is because, the state income resources will be mismanaged for personal satisfaction. Hon Zakari Alfa said, how can a state and the people develop economically under this ugly trend? According to him, he strongly promised that, if voted into power as the next Executive Governor of Kogi state, his government will develop and promote the overall principles of Selfless Service Leadership against the practice and system of Self-help Service Leadership in the state. This is Great.
