There were tensions in Osogbo from Monday evening to Tuesday morning as young suspected internet fraudsters protested against the invasion by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a video obtained by DAILY Posy, the young people were seen screaming and protesting that EFCC officers had raided their estate and were trying to tow various exotic cars.
The sources said the EFCC agents raided the Adetunji area around 2 a.m. and began house arresting suspected internet fraudsters.
The source also revealed that more than twenty cars were reportedly confiscated and more than thirty-one suspected internet fraudsters were arrested within an hour inside the estate.
Meanwhile, state police public relations officer Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident, said police officers had been deployed to the scene since midnight.
She also said the situation had been brought under control.
