Tawari Carnage: Hon Sam Aro Grief Over Killings,Blame Government On Lack Of Proactiveness

Deputy Governorship candidate in the last November 16 election in Kogi, Hon Samuel Aro has blamed the state government on lack of proactive securtiy measures that has exposed the citizens to all forms of attacks

Hon Sam  Aro dropped this hint in a message of condolence to Ohimege-Igu of Koton Karfe,Aguma of Tawari on the unfortunate carnage that claimed close to 20 lives.

According to Engineer Sam Aro,the state government has paid too much lip service to securtiy of lives and properties in the state, rather than meet the eye.

He said the Bassas,Kakandas,Egburas,Nupes and other adjoining languages had lived for decades amidst peace and equanimity, only for emissaries and mercenaries to cut short the age long peace enjoyed by the environment.

Hon Sam Aro commisserated with the entire people of Tawari, and prayed for the repose of the souls of those that lost their lives at the eve of the new year, saying it is regrettable such dastardly act is still prevalent in the current dispensation.

The Deputy Governorship candidate appealed to the Federal authorities to assist the villagers into unravelling and fishing out the culpirits,so as to bring them to book.

He suggested the setting up of a combined securtiy outfits to oversee the security situation of the area in the next 12 months, to discourage another round of attack or likely attack in the area.

Sam Aro asked the people of the area to be vigilante and enjoined them to organise local vigilante,so as to check the influx of people with questionable characters, through raising of alarms and other securtiy measures .
