Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has sworn in 12 Directors-General out of the 22 he appointed recently in the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Tambuwal said the swearing-in of the Directors-General was delayed due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
He said their appointment was based on merit due to their track record in the state civil service, thus urging them to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
”I urged you to intensify efforts on the virtue of hardworking, and trust in order to discharge your duty effectively,” Tambuwal added.
The inauguration, which took place at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Sokoto, was witnessed by various dignitaries, including the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Manir Dan’Iya, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Sa’idu Umar, the state Head of Service, Sani Garba Shuni and some commissioners.
