Stay away from Bauchi politics, group cautions Oshiomhole

A Socio-political group in Bauchi State known as ‘ Bauchi State Concern Citizens’ has urged the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole to stay away from involving himself in the political affairs of the state to avoid causing unnecessary problems.

Addressing Journalists on Monday, Secretary of the group Comrade Aliyu Ladan flanked by their Public Relations Officer Mr Bulus Gambo said the alleged plan by Oshiomhole to incite aggrieved APC members of the state assembly against Governor Bala Mohammed is unacceptable.

He claimed that the election of the leaders of the assembly was legitimate and that inciting other members of the legistlative house against the state government would cause chaos and sabotage the governor’s effort to develop the state.
“The entire process of the inauguration of the house members and the conduct of election of their leadership was in accordance with the standing order of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Act of 2015 which enables the one third members of the house to legistlate freely and as well to decide or elect their leaders. Therefore, one third of the members have made qorum and as such, their decision and resolution is valid upon all members.”
“Our amiable and most focused Governor should be allowed to discharge his legitimate constitutional responsibility of providing a good governance in the state, since the previous government could not,” he told Oshiomhole.
