In a startling turn of events, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG), has distanced himself from a campaign aimed at creating a divide between Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement. This move has sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Kano, leaving many in disbelief.
The campaign, allegedly associated with Bichi, has been pushing for Governor Yusuf to assert his independence from Kwankwaso’s influence. However, after a meeting with the Governor and leaders of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Bichi clarified that he was not involved with the group behind the campaign and affirmed his loyalty to Governor Yusuf.
