Speaker Abbas appoints Faleke, Doguwa, Betara, Wase, others as regional, zonal caucus leaders.

 

As part of efforts to deepen legislative engagement among members of the 10th Assembly, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on Tuesday named Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara as Leader of the North East Caucus, Hon James faleke as Leader of the South West Caucus of the 10th National Assembly,

The Speaker during the plenary session also announced the appointment of the former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase as Zonal Leader of the North Central Caucus.

According to the Interim lists of zonal, State and Regional Leaders announced on the floor by the Speaker, Hon. Sada Soli was appointed as Leader of North-West Caucus.

Hon. James Abiodun Faleke who doubles as Chairman, House Committee on Finance emerged as the Leader of the South West Caucus in the 10th Assembly.

In the same vein, Hon. Iduma Igariwey emerged as Leader of the South East Caucus.

Hon. Frederick Agbedi was also announced as the Leader of the South-South Caucus.

While announcing the names of the appointees for the Regional Caucuses, Speaker Abbas appointed the former Majority Leader, Hon. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa as Regional Leader of the North.

In the same vein, he appointed Hon. Nicholas Mutu as Regional Leader of the South.

In the bid to conclude the process, Speaker Abbas urged all the remaining State Caucuses to submit the list of other Nominees to fill up available slots.
