The Deputy Governor in a meeting he presided in the official residence of the Deputy Governor, a sequel to the current process of transiting to a new set of Executives of the National Youths Council of Nigeria, the Deputy Governor, has mandated all other aspirants to step aside for his kinsman, as against popular consensus and consultations that have been going on within youth council stakeholders who have been agitating for a Dekina or Idah Chairman as it has been zoned to the Kogi East with Ankpa Federal Constituency, Olamaboro to be precise having enjoyed a 4-year stint handling the affairs of the apex youth body in the state.
According to the group statement sent to OBSERVERS TIMES by Ibrahim Ojodale,read “ the Deputy Governor who has been showing his hate for other local governments from 2015 when he was appointed chief of staff till date has refused to repent despite his aspirations for the Governorship in 2023.
He summoned the whole aspirants from Kogi East and against the backdrop of a free and egalitarian society coerced all aspirants to support the Ogugu/Olamaboro candidate sighting disunity as reason while he promises to pay a token #100,000 monthly salary and Job opportunity for those who stepped down for his Ogugu brother, forgetting and jettisoning the fact that the immediate chairman of Council from Kogi East comrade Engr. Emmanuel Nes B was from that particular local government.
The aspirants were ambushed by Olamaboro Political offices holders with the Local Government Chairman Hon. Adejoh Pexzy, the House of Assembly Member Hon. Bobby Ujah, who has always championed the course of the Olamaboro candidate, Hon. Mario from Olamaboro, the immediate Chairman from Kogi East Engr. Emmanuel Nes B from Olamaboro as well and Hon. Alfa Ebune from Dekina were the only leaders from Kogi east present, aspirants present include Comrade Ali Sunday, Comrade Ismail Abdullahi, Comrade Ben Jerry, Comrade Usman Ogohi Samuel, Comrade Job Amana and Comrade Onu Faruk.
Kogi East Youthful and useful stakeholders expected the deputy Governor to act as a father of all and not being sentimental knowing fully well that Olamaboro has spent four years, he should remember he is not only a deputy Governor to Ogugu people, he Mr Edward Onoja should stop playing God, we also want to tell him that we have continued to keep tabs on his shenanigans and divide and rule tactics, he can be rest assured that Kogi East youths won’t hesitate to pay him in his coin when the time comes.
