Shehu Sani Urges Northern Politicians to Support Tinubu’s Full Term for National Unity

Former Senator Shehu Sani has cautioned Northern politicians seeking the presidency in 2027 to prioritize national peace and stability by supporting President Bola Tinubu’s completion of his eight-year term. Sani warned against attempts to undermine Tinubu’s government, which could lead to serious division and problems for the country.

In a statement, Sani noted that the North had eight years in power under President Buhari but failed to address the region’s pressing issues, leaving it in a worse state. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the unity and collective peace of the country, urging Northern politicians to sacrifice their personal ambitions for the greater good.

Sani stressed that the North will have the moral right to seek power after Tinubu’s second term if a southerner takes over. He emphasized that desperation for power will not benefit the region or the country, and instead, politicians should focus on policies and programs that benefit the people.

By supporting Tinubu’s full term, Northern politicians can help maintain national unity and stability, paving the way for a brighter future for all Nigerians.
