Senator Melaye Rerun: Stop Putting INEC On Pressure To Change Decision Over Kogi West ; CSO Tells Yahaya Bello 

A civil society group,Nigeria Integrity Movement(NIM),has handed down a strong warning to INEC, not to succumb to late pressure from Kogi governor,Yahaya Bello over it’s decision to conduct the Kogi west election same day with the Kogi Governorship election slated for November 16
The Civil Society group in a statement signed by it’s protem chairman, Abdulrahman Yakubu said any attempt to change the decisions of INEC to go on with it’s earlier plans,will amount caving into the pressure from Kogi governor to change the date to December
Yakubu said INEC earlier decision on  Kogi west is irreversible, uncompromising and will forestall plans by the state government to hijack the process, through build up of arm thugs and miscreants, to harass innocent voters during the election
He condemned the pressure on the electoral body for a staggered election in Kogi west ,saying it will give way to day light electoral malpractices and political robbery of the electoral process in the area,been plan by the state government
Nigeria Integrity Movement spokesman said the public is not unaware of plans by the state government, to hijack the process, bribe INEC officials and annex undeserved victory to the APC candidate, Senator Smart Adeyemi
Yakubu said for a governor that have boasted of winning all the State Assembly seat, in the last election and Seven out of Nine Federal lawmakers,Two out of Three Senate, ,need not to panic over an exercise he is sure of victory by November 16
He warned the electoral umpire of the consequences of allowing the agents of the state government, or conceding to the request of Kogi governor for a new date
