Senator Karimi Empowers 400 Traders in Lokoja, Receives High Praise from Traders Union

The Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area Chapter of Arewa Traders Union, Mallam Iliyasu Aliyu, has extolled the Senator representing Kogi West, Senator Sunday Karimi for the mega empowerment program organized for market traders and artisans in his constituency recently.

In an interview with the Chairman of the Arewa Traders Union, Mallam Iliyasu Aliyu in Lokoja on Sunday, praised the lawmaker for thinking differently in bringing the dividends of democracy to his people.

He noted that the project was not only laudable but also magnificent and awesome, considering the number of beneficiaries and the amount given to each of them to improve their businesses and lives.

“Karimi’s action was a courageous one. He is a promise keeper, a great achiever, and a selfless leader. God Almighty will continue to bless him,” he stated.

 

In a related development, a group, the Lokoja Team Karimi has also commended Senator Sunday Karimi for the recent Empowerment he Initiated organized which saw him donate to N100,000 each to some traders across 7 local government areas.

According to the State Coordinator of the group, Comrade Umar Abdullahi Abass, ” Community Impact Based Projects and Initiatives can only be achieved when we have individuals like Senator Sunday Karimi who truly cares for the growth and development of their people”.

The group while appreciating Senator Karimi stated that this act will go a long way in ensuring the financial dependence of the various beneficiaries of the Empowerment scheme.

It also applauded the unbiased manner in which beneficiaries were draw from across the 7 Local Government Areas.

According to Comrade Abass, ” Senator Karimi has proven himself to be a people oriented public servant who has continued to saddle himself with the task of moving his people forward”
