There were several prompts and calls on the trending video of Distinguished senator’s private visit to His Excellency Gov. Yahaya Bello the Executive Governor of Kogi State to extend an appreciation to the governor for finding someone from his constituency worthy of his nomination and support for ministerial appointment.
Recall that kogi state with this, have had the chance of recommending three ministers between 2015 till date that Governor Bello holds sway as governor with two out the three from Kogi east; the senatorial district Echocho represents. Is this not worthy of appreciation and gratitude?
Has Senator Jibrin erred for appreciating the Governor or it is the mode of showing his gratitude that is generating this needless or undue lynch? What is the hullabaloo for? I feel, his position by kneeling down is really not out of place!
These people we all feel because of their position or loyalty to the governor are really doing everything possible to show the governor that they remain grateful for his gesture and lobby him for more.
Again, I kept asking myself of the intention of the person who released the said video! Was his/ her intention to ridecule the senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?
Since the visit was a private visit to show appreciation for the ministerial nominee for Kogi State who also double as Sen. Echocho son in-law, it was expected that such video or visit should not have been made public.
If you asked me, I see no offence in the action of the senator. The gesture of his excellency is commendable and deserves appreciation in whatever guise or form.
