Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho has launched a new initiative aimed at uplifting households in Kogi East by distributing forms for the Federal Government’s Household Upliftment Programme. This program will provide N50,000 grants to around 5,000 beneficiaries across the nine Local Government Areas within the constituency.
According to Mikail Ibrahim, SA Media to Sen Isah Jibrin Echocho , the distribution of forms commenced on Tuesday, with teams ensuring that they reach the less privileged directly at their homes. Senator Echocho highlighted the initiative’s focus on making a tangible difference for underserved communities, emphasizing the importance of government intervention in enhancing the welfare of his constituents.
In his remarks, the senator praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to the Nigerian populace, viewing this initiative as a responsible step towards addressing citizens’ needs. The program is set to last for three months, promising substantial financial support to the selected households.
“This initiative demonstrates my commitment to the welfare of my constituents and our efforts to ensure they benefit from government programs,” Senator Echocho stated, underscoring his dedication to improving the lives of those he represents.
