High Chief SenatorJohn Abba Moro is a grassroot politician, academician,even though he radicalised his academic prowess to salvage the massess from the social stratification, beginning from his community of Ugbokolo,over five decades away.
Moro started his political career as a council Boss of Ogbadibo local government, with headquarters at Obu Otukpa in his early days political sojourn, soon after living the Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo, as a senior lecturer in the mid 90s.
His traits and disposition was a glaring political astute and messiah of not only his immediate community,but by extension Idoma Land,as well as the entire Benue State.
During his stint as council Boss,the local government witnessed an unprecedented developement both in human and infrastructural break through,that stabilise the new council created by the Military adminstration.
His potentials as council Boss,member of board of Agencies and Parastatals, both state and Federal level,saw him gunning to govern Benue state,a record that would have being broken for obvious reasons of his popularity and general acceptance,that was later over taken by fortituous circumstances.
Moro worked as one of the PDP top echelon and member of the think tank having served the party at many levels in the early days of return to democratic practice in 1999.
Distinguish Senator Abba Moro became a federal cabinet Minister, during the President Good luck Jonathan administration for consecutive four years that saw the Interior Ministry fulfilling one of the cardinals points of the former administration, through provision of job opportunities to many Nigerians, in parastatals and agencies under his Ministry.
He refocussed and reorganised the para Military agencies under his Ministry of Interior through provision of jobs and employement opportunities and other engagements,even though his attempt to further expand and swell employment opportunities was hijacked by naysayers.
But his accomplishment in this areas interms of human development, strategic planning and other activities geared towards self realisation of ordinary Nigerians, through gainful employment was unrivalled.
During his stint as Minister,Senator Abba Moro was known as a community person, who believes strongly in his community interms of employment, empowerment, engagement,charity and other forms of social services, that led to his installation as the Eye and the Ear of Idoma land with a traditional title.
Moro’s communal conducts saw him around his village setting, even as Minister spending so many days above his holiday periods, not for anything,but familiarise with his people and by extension family members.
Senator John Abba Moro was unanimously picked by the opinion leaders,political gladiators and community leaders of both Idoma,Agatu,Egede and Etulo land to represent them at the red chamber, before the process of electionering campaigns in 2019.
No wonder Moro’s election even though was subject to litigation, was already blessed by the stakeholders of Idoma land,to enable him continue his good works started as a Local Government chairman,state official and former cabinet Minister.
Soon after his election as Senator of the federal republic representing the good people of Benue South,Moro had commence in earnest the process of community and people oriented programs, that will mitigate the growing poverty level of the people of the area.
His giant strides in the area of empowerment,skill development, capacity building and other forms of engagement has place the area on the pedestal of accelerated developement and deter social disequilibrium.
He articulated his developement strategy that covers the entire Senatorial district to include social services, infrastructural developement and charity to address the growing dearth of underdevelopment and maintain status quo in the area.
This is in addition to his good representation at the Senate,both at plenary, committee and oversight functions to the betterment of his people and the entire country.
