Senate Goes Into Closed Session Over Ministerial List

The Senate has gone into an emergency closed session after plenary was declared open by Senate President Ahmed Lawan on Tuesday, Observers Times reports.
The move is believed to be connected to the ministerial nominees’ list which President Muhammadu Buhari reportedly sent to the Senate on Monday evening via executive communication, Observers Times reports.
Earlier reports say the president named 42 nominees, unlike his first term when he appointed 36 ministers.
