Senate commends NASC, Lauds Ongoing Reforms In The Commission.

 

Chairman Senate Committee on Establishment and Public service and members of the committee has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission NASC, Engineer Ahmed Kadi Amshi FNSE.

The committee made this resolution during an oversight function by members to the National Assembly Service Commission NASC headquarters at Utako Abuja.

According to the Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau said the conducive environment created by the new leadership of the NASC is worthwhile.

It is note-worthy that during the tour the Committee Chairman expressed great pleasure over what he saw and assured that the Senate would support the commission in many ways

‘We are impressed by the neatness,serene and clean environment we met today,from the entrance of the complex to the offices and it’s environment.it shows even though, it is a rented apartment,there is orderliness,decency and sense of belonging in the new system by the new leadership.’

‘We cannot work in an unkept environment,infact the conduct of the staffers of the commission and by extension at the National Assembly has shown there is a new sherrif in town.’

The Executive Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission NASC, Engineer Ahmed Kadi Amshi FNSE.

‘We commend you on the on going reforms in the commission, particularly the staff rationalisation, redeployment and retirement,as over 100 senior staffs that leverage on age and service year, discrepancies have been shown the way out.’

‘These patriotic and ressolve to depart from business as usual has addressed stagnation,frustration and career development in NASC back on track.’

‘The smuggling of allien and archaic civil service rules and retirement age by the affected staff is not in line with the public service conditions of service,I therefore encourage the Chairman to continue in this good trend.’

‘The bold action was timely,it is in line with the ideas and ideals of the committee and the leadership of the National Assembly.it is a job well done.

‘We are readily available to support the commission in the area of more funding, regularisation of it’s existence as a commission and more lofty ideas.’ Senator Shekarau said.
