Sen. Abbo, Hon. Nyampa Decry Abandoned Kudzum, Dilchi & Wuro Gandi Bridges

The Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone, Ishaku Abbo has reinstated his commitment in ensuring that his people would enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Abbo made this known while site checking the progress of the delipidated Kudzum, Dilchi and Wuro Gandi bridges.
The Senator said “We came for the site assessment, of the level of work that is already done by the contractors on the site. We want to know not only the level of that has been done but also the amount of money received by the contractor Visa Vise the work done on-site.”

The Lawmaker Continued saying “A Few days ago We had a meeting with the contractors in Abuja, and they assured me that work is already ongoing, that Kudzum bridge is under construction and that the problem they are having is because of the rainfall. That has stopped them from erecting the full-bridge, and they said that their equipment are already here on-site”

“On reaching here today, I could only see a single crane. We are saying that we didn’t see even a single person on-site working. It should be noted that there was a budget provision for this work, and so far, based on record available to me, contractors received nearly 2 billion Naira to do this work, and I have the record. If they received 2Billion, and this is what we see in the site, and this is the level of work, something needs to be done” he said.
“We have come here after briefing me in Abuja with my member representing Michika-Madagali Federal Constituency, Hon. Zakariya Dauda Nyampa, so that we would assess the level of work done and go back and confront the ministry and every body involved in this job. So that also, if need be to invite antigraft agencies like EFCC and ICPC to look into this matter because our communities can not continue to be left out of the world.” He further noted.
The Member representing Michika-Madagali in the green Chamber, Hon. Zakariya Dauda Nyampa expressed his sadness over the situation and promised to team up with the Senator to foster the immediate take off of the project so as to allow the constituency have access to communities of Mubi and Uba with ease for theri usual business.
