Secondus absent as Akinwonmi presides over PDP NEC meeting

The Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus will not be presiding over the National Executive Council meeting, NEC of the Party on Saturday.

The embattled politician asked the Deputy National Chairman (South), Yemi Akinwomi, to preside over the National Executive Committee meeting of the party.

Secondus in a letter to Akinwonmi wrote; “I hereby request you to preside over the National Executive Committee meeting of the Party, taking place today, 28th August, 2021@ 12 noon, in my absence.”
This development is coming shortly after a Cross-River state court ordered Secondus not to resume as the National Chairman of the Party.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Secondus has been ordered not to parade himself as the party’s chairman.
