Saying hello is demonic… it’s a slogan of hell, Mummy GO claims

by

Funmilayo Adebayo, the controversial Nigerian evangelist better known as Mummy GO, has claimed it is demonic to say “hello”.

Generally, hello is used as a greeting or to begin a phone conversation.

But in one of her teachings now gaining attention on social media, the cleric claimed hello “is a language and slogan of hell.”

“A bishop from Ghana was arguing with me. He said ‘Evangelist Funmi, we are listening to your message but don’t say nonsense. Don’t teach us wrong things. I said what is the wrong thing that I taught,” she said.

“He said ‘you said if somebody said hello, it is demonic. It is not good’. I said yes sir, I said so. I never denied it.

“He then asked, what about our Lord’s prayer… ‘our father who art in heaven, hallowed…’ I said it’s hallowed not hello.

“By the time you remove letter o from hello, what is remaining? Hell! So, I greet you in the morning or you call me and I just mention hell! It is a language of hell, a slogan of hell.”

Funmilayo is the founder of Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God (RAPEC). She became a viral sensation after several clips of her unorthodox and jarring sermons surfaced online.

Mummy GO had earlier claimed that some of the viral videos of her preachings about hell were doctored.
