REVEALED: How Saraki Committee Compels PDP to conduct zonal congresses

It is no longer news that the senator Bukola Saraki led PDP reconciliation and strategy committee has been crisscrossing the country in line with their mandate to reconcile the relevant stakeholders of the party at the state and national level- with commiserate success achieved, OBSERVERS TIMES report.

The committee had earlier on February 24th of this year wrote a letter to the Chariman of the party, Chief Uche Secondus, requesting for a postponement of the party’s Zonal Congresses in the South West, North West and North Central zones of the country in other order to avail them more time to meet up with their primary responsibility of bridging the divide among the party bigwigs.

Observers Time can authoritatively report that, the committee in a letter sent to the party chairman dated March 30th recommended that the South West, North West and North Central congresses be held on April 10th. The letter read, “having reviewed the recommendation made so far from the various consultations and taking the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan on April 12th into consideration,we recommend that the zonal congresses of the South West, North West and North Cental be held on April 10th, 2012.”
