Rep. Yusuf Tajudeen Teejay Mourns Justice Ajanah says “It is unfortunate that the cold hands of death snatched a time when his wise counsel is need by all”

The message read:
It is with a heavy heart that I use this medium on behalf of the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, to commiserate with the people of Kogi state, Ebiraland, and the entire Ajanah family over the sudden, shocking and painful demise of Justice Nasiru Ajanah,
Chief Judge of Kogi state, which sad event occurred on Sunday, June 28th, 2020.
It is unfortunate that the cold hands of death snatched our very dear and respected Justice Nasiru Ajanah at a time when his wise counsel, support and inspiration is needed by all and sundry in Kogi state.
Justice Nasiru Ajanah had a most fulfilling public service career; as a legal practitioner and judge. His legendary contribution to the deepening of law, jurisprudence and judiciary will remain indelible. At various stages, capacities, and positions, which includes; Chairman of Elections Petitions Tribunal in Adamawa, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, Member Presidential Implementation Committee on Financial Autonomy of State Judiciary and State Legislature as well as two-term Membership of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Justice Nasiru Ajanah’s wisdom, intellect and experience contributed immensely to the overall successes of these ad-hoc assignment.
Though painful that we lost a rare, selfless and compassionate Statesman, one is happy that Justice Nasiru Ajanah lived a life of service to God and humanity. Not minding his tight schedules, he devoted enormous personal resources, energy and passion to the general well being of the less privileged and vulnerable. As a visionary philanthropist, he touched the lives of many people. Similarly, as an ardent sports enthusiast and administrator, he played immeasurable role in the promotion and development of basketball in Kogi state, being the single sponsor of the Annual Ajanah Basketball Championship for over one decade.
It is my sincere prayers that God will grant him eternal rest and repose his soul. Also, I pray that God will grant his family, loved ones and the entire Ajanah Family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
HON. YUSUF TAJUDEEN (TEEJAY)
Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency
