Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, is reportedly being considered as President Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson, according to a State House source who spoke to Observers Times. Omokri, who left London yesterday, is expected to arrive in Nigeria today, fueling speculation about his potential appointment.
As a seasoned politician and social media influencer, Omokri has been vocal about various national issues. In April 2024, he advised Christians in Nigeria to prioritize paying taxes to the government over paying tithes to their pastors, sparking a national conversation .
If appointed, Omokri would bring his experience as a former Special Assistant to President Jonathan to the role. However, the presidency has not officially confirmed the appointment.
