REBUTTAL TO THE MUMUYE OPEN LETTER- YYDC

*APPRECIATION:*
The Yandang Youth Development Congress (YYDC) again wish to use this rebuttal to first thank the able and working Chief-Security-Officer and our Leader; His Excellency, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku FNIA, the Executive Governor of Taraba State for his love and Fatherly consideration that brought about the creation of Sanwi Chiefdom and for finding His Royal Highness Pastor Haniel Hinlewini Banti 1, Dah-Kpang Sanwi worthy to Shepherd the Yandang nation using the constitutionally accepted traditional institution.
We are eternally grateful and for this profound and Courageous gesture we stand with you and are ready to rebuke any person or group of persons trying to disrespect you and your leadership. We shall resist any act of treason against the State and Executive decision with our last drop of blood.
*INTRODUCTION:*
It is important to also note here and now that I am full fleshed Yandang born. I am married to a beautiful Mumuye woman and we are raising our child to see both tribes as one and nothing more. To pick a fight with Yandang is to slight brotherhood and oneness.
*ORIGINATION:*
It is also important to know that we all are migrants irrespective of who came where first or who has more population.
History, not even the Mumuyes can deny or refute, has it that it was on Mount Yorro the Yandangs parted ways to settle in Gorobi, Wagerenzinan and other parts of present Lau but all under the old Northeastern region and later Gongola State.
Therefore, population, year of migration and settlement does not determine establishment of any Chiefdom but those who follow the right process of having one.
*CHIEFDOM:*
Again, Chiefdom is a privilege, not a right and to have it you must appeal to those with powers to create one but not threaten or fabricate emotional stories of land ownership, population size and blame disenfranchisement.
*YANDANG POSITION:*
We are groomed to live in peace and pursue peace at all cost but to insist that newly created Chiefdom should be reversed or recalled is not only selfish but appalling.
*SOME EDUCATION:*
The name of our tribe/language is spelt Yandang and not Nyandan. Do not address us with a sense of disdain just to prove a point or try to have your way that we are inconsequential.
*FREE ADVISE:*
Kindly use all peaceful, civilize and humble avenues to have an extra Chiefdom if need be but be assured and enlightened that there are Yandangs in Zing under a Mumuye Chiefdom, Monkin and so also in Yorro Chiefdom.
Question: Should the Yandangs and other tribes there seek a different Chiefdom to submit to by reason of their current location, omission or commission?
*CONCLUSION:*
No Yandang will sit idly by to take insults on our Chief and Chiefdom or accept any falsified amendment of history and to in another vein directly disrespect the Rescue Captain, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku FNIA, who through his graciousness created the long overdue Sanwi Chiefdom without a rebuff or rebuke from us
*YOUR AMBITION:*
Seek your seat in peace but before you do learn to be good servants under another roof that is by extension of documented history we are one. Besides who lifts those who are too big to serve? No one.
If you are too big to serve then you’re too small to be served.
