Re : Citizen Goodman Pharooq Akwu.

The call from you for synergies by the Aju Ameh Achor clan is perhaps a well thought out one, but Your deliberate omission of one name, Mall Isah Achimugu Oguche Akpah , have rendered the well scripted wordings irrelevant, sentimental, malicious and baseless.
In the course of your narration, you omitted Mall Isah Achimugu Oguche Akpah, the very contender who happens to be eldest from that lineage, I consider that very deliberate Sir, whatever must have informed your write up should have been objective enough to know what the gazzette and tradition says concerning the selection of an Attah.

By the provisions of the igala Area Traditional council ( modification of Native Law and custom) Order 2015: Procedure and Regulation for the selection and Ascension to the Stool of Attah Igala Published in the Kogi State of Nigeria Gazette No. 2, VOL. 2. Dated 21st May, 2015, “in the Selection of an Attah, Preference Shall be given to the eldest surviving Son of an Attah Igala from the ruling house whose turn it is produce the next Attah.”

My attention had been drawn to a haphazardly arranged script not only to create a more sharp division in Aju Ameh Achor ruling house, but geared towards self fulfillment of personal vendatta.

The purported writer who claimed to be a prince of the ruling house,Prince Akwu Umar Goodman had little or no knowledge of the procedure and process that always lead to the ascension of the paramount Igala Traditional stool rather than fanning the self styled embers.

As stated above and in line with the lay down procedures,it is expected that the following people from the family lineage will vie for the coveted throne of the Attah Igala

The names of the Princess are as follows
1 Mall Isa Achimugu Oguche-Akpa
2. Samuel Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa
3. Mathieu Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa
4. Ocholi Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa

But,the reverse is glaringly the case,as the name of the eldest prince of Oguche-Akpa Royal lineage among the aspirant, MALL ISAH ACHIMUGU OGUCHE AKPAH was excluded with no reasons.

The name of eldest grand son among the aspirants (Prince) of the family, Mall Isa Achimugu Oguche -Akpa was removed may be because he is a Moslem and not prominent in the family, Or probably because he is not RICH.., But that was not the basis of modification carried by the immediate past administration in the state.

The new Gazette that tend to put behind the 102 years of denial favoured him from all ramifications.

But,if we are quick to ask, Where were You, Citizen Goodman Pharooq Akwu when igalamela kingmakers selected Ocholi Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa, why didn’t you advice or call for calmness and only to do that now because the review committee selected your friend who is third to the eldest and second to the last born.

As a prince of Igala revered kingdom,it is not out of place to draw analogy to address the current impasse and logjam, but this is done out of sheer self centeredness.

Another opinion and selection process pushed the no 2 and 3 on the list, kept mute on the most eldest Prince of the Oguche-Akpa Royal lineage, yet we clamour for fairness and justice in the process of selection of the new Attah’ Igala.

All said and done,it is high time we imbibe the culture of transparency, fairness and justice in the interest of not only the ruling houses and the current royal heir, but for the progress and developement of the Igala nation.

If what lingers in 1919 for over ten centuries, still rare its ugly head in the current dispensation,I’m afraid if the Igala race is not heading to cultural extinction.

If Aju Ameh Achor refused to do the needful out of greed and self centredness with the government and the kingmakers decided otherwise to favour the other three ruling houses against the lay down procedures,so be it.

The one and only justice that is desiring’ in the selection and installation of the next Attah Igala is to settle for the most epdest in the family,Mall Isah Achimugu Oguche-Akpa or do otherwise to igala nation.

The bringing forward of Ocholi Opaluwa, Mathew Opaluwa, Samuel Opaluwa all of Oguche -Akpa ruling is not tenable at this point.

With a sound health, physical ability and mentally balanced, there is no excuse stopping the selection of Alhaji Isah Achimugu aopaluwa Oguche-Akpa.
