Rano Air announces date for commencement of commercial flight operations

The management of Rano Air said it will commence domestic flight operations on May 7, 2023.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the airline said the flight operations will be flagged off by the executive governor of Kano State, Umar Ganduje, at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.

Rano Air recently announced that it has procured four additional aircraft worth 4 billion naira. It also said it has received an Air Operator Certificate from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, which authorises it to provide scheduled passenger, cargo, and charter flight operations.

The statement reads, “The management of Rano Air wishes to inform the flying public that its flight operations will be flagged off by the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, on Sunday 7th May, 2023, at the domestic terminal of the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano at 10:00 AM.

“Commercial flights Abuja and Kano to the various cities of Nigeria will commence immediately thereafter”.
