RAMADAN; Staffers Of Kogi Goverrment House Groans Under Non Salary Payment Since August 2019.

 

For Eight months without salary,domestic staff of Kogi governor, including different arms of security agencies deployed to the Goverrment House has cried out over non payment of salaries and allowances, OBSERVERS TIMES learnt.

This is coming amidst Ramadan fast period and the ongoing lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 ravaging the country.

Expectedly, staffers attached to the office of the governor including the security agencies are expected to be on the first line charge in terms of salaries and allowances.

But it turn out to be different in Kogi state,as efforts to verify the alleged non payment of salary and allowances to this category of staff,was not heeded by staffs involved for fear of sack.

The Source who don’t want his name mention  appealed to Kogi state government to come to their aid in view of this multiple problems of COVID-19 and Ramadan Fast period, in the spirit of the holy month.

They avered that most family members depend on them for livelihood,hence the need to come to their aide by Kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello .

It was recently reported that some local government and health workers were forced to accept half salaries,while some staff of the state Radio,Kogi state Broadcasting Corporation and kogi state College of Education Ankpa lecturers were being owed many months entitlements.
