As Nigeria continues to battle with ravaging insecurity and the increasing cost of living due to new policies introduced by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since assumption of office on May 29, 2023, Nigerians have rated the performance of the incumbent government and scored it very low with many of the respondents describing the president as worst ever in the history of Nigeria. MIRACLE OGUNDE who collated some reactions from Nigerians writes.
In Starnews NG opinion polls sampled on our social media pages, some Nigerians gave their ratings of President Tinubu’s administration, with majority saying the present administration has performed below expectation.
In his opinion, Abdul Mohammed described Tinubu’s administration as “The worst political inflation in core North”.
Another respondent, Awwal Bwari, says “Tinubu government is a non performing administration whose government favours political appointees than it’s citizens, the administration lacks focus on its programs”, he added.
Another respondent Brightezeigbo Chukwuemeka argues that “Bola Tinubu is the”worst ever experienced president so far.”
Also commenting on the opinion poll, Bukola Oluyitan maintains that “Tinubu is the “worst president so far.”
Martins Karaki in his opinion says ” President Tinubu is a disappointment to Nigerians and to his regeneration.”
Starnews NG reports that Alayeluwa Olafeso Owolabi, rates him “0 percent.”
Okoyomon Ogbe Joshua added that “He is the worst president ever. A man that is doing fine in life suddenly develop BP because of Tinubu foolish policies. God will judge Tinubu”, the angry man said.
Sunday Aluko, in his comment says, “The man that built Lagos.” He’s apparently referring to some of the overrated qualities and exaggerated accolades the APC campaign team bestowed on the incumbent President during the 2023 presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, Starnews NG notes that with the persistent increase in dollar rate despite assurances by the CBN governor, Olayemi Cardoso that the nation’s economy will become stable in 2024, there is however no sign of any hope as costs of foodstuffs continue to be on the high side on a daily basis.
Insecurity, on its part continues to ravage different parts of the country with bandits, unknown gunmen, and terrorists unleashing terrors on innocent citizens through killings, burning of properties and kidnapping for ransom which has become a very lucrative business for perpetrators in the country.
With the recent happenings around the country, many Nigerians are beginning to lose hope in the administration of President Bola Tinubu despite the ‘Renewed Hope’ promised before taking over power.
We advise the President Tinubu to listen to the voice of the masses and not his aides who would only give positive feedback to suit him which is not the real concern of the masses.
If President Tinubu fails to act urgently now to salvage the situation on the ground, particularly the insecurity issue, Nigerians may soon lose complete trust in him and his administration may witness a massive protest which may have a serious effect on his governance.
