President Tinubu Pledges to Alleviate Hardships, Reduce Petrol Prices

In a recent address at the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) in Abia State, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the socio-economic and political challenges faced by Nigerians.

Represented by Professor Garba Sharubutu, the Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Tinubu emphasized his determination to tackle the prevailing hardships in the country. He outlined plans to address the root causes rather than the symptoms of the issues.

The president assured citizens that efforts were underway to significantly reduce the current high prices of petrol, citing the imminent resumption of production in local refineries as a pivotal factor. He also highlighted the allocation of the supplementary budget approved by the National Assembly to intervene in critical segments of the agricultural sector.

Addressing the pressing issue of insecurity, Tinubu acknowledged it as a significant challenge for Nigeria but expressed confidence that it would soon be history. However, he emphasized the necessity of sustained support and cooperation from Nigerians to implement the various solutions aimed at alleviating the prevailing hardships.

“Stand with us and continue supporting this administration as we leave no stone unturned in alleviating the severe hardships faced by our people,” President Tinubu urged, calling for unity in realizing these solutions.
