President Tinubu Announces Key Appointments at Nigerian Ports Authority

 

In a move aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director and Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Dantsoho, a seasoned maritime expert, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in various capacities within the NPA, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager, Onne Port, and Principal Manager, Tariff & Billing. He holds a Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom.

Senator Adeyeye, a seasoned lawyer, journalist, and politician, has a distinguished career in public service, having served as Minister of State for Works and Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District.

The President expects the new leadership of the NPA to deliver excellence in port services and improved industry outcomes. These appointments are a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Nigeria’s port operations.
