Appeals To PTF,President Buhari’s Intervention.

Contractors handling projects in the special duties Ministry has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Presidential task force on COVID-19,headed by Mr Boss Mustapha,Secretary to the Goverrment of the Federation, to Wade into non payment of contractors already executed in the Ministry by the Ministry of Finance about a year ago.

This is against the back drop of the goverment decision to mitigate the effects on the dreaded pandemic ravaging the world with Nigeria not an exception.

The Ministry of Finance and it’s senior officials had resorted to face saving over the refusal to release funds to the Ministry of Special Duties, living behind the exposure to contractors obligations running into billions of naira since last year.

Some contractors who are victims of the ugly developement has appealed to President Buhari through the Presidential task force, to wade into the deliberate refusal of the Ministry of Finance to attend and release funds to the contractors.

Efforts to reach out to the Minister, senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, had met stiff resistance from the constituted authorities, on the premise of playing along with COVID-19 regulations .

The contractors begged Nigerian goverrment in the spirit of it’s efforts to mitigate the effects of COVID-19,consider with out further delay payment to outstanding contractors in the special duties Ministry and fund release by the Ministry of Finance.
