Police Warn Ladies Against ‘Hook-Up’ Says All That Glitters Is Not Gold

The Ogun State Police Command has urged ladies to be cautious of the dangers associated with ‘hooking up’ with strangers.

‘Hook up’ is said to be meeting someone new, or someone already known and proceeding to having sexual intercourse without any intention of keeping a relationship type commitment.

This was disclosed in a post on the command’s official X handle on Tuesday.

The caption read, “Avoid being a victim of ritual killing: Hook up and it’s dangers!

You may go and never return. Girls wake up! Young girls, do you know who you are being hooked up to?

That person may exchange your beautiful head for peanuts. All that glitters is not gold!”

PUNCH reported in October 2023 how young ladies suspected to be commercial sex workers loitered around major shopping malls and highbrow streets in Lagos to lure prospective customers.
