Police To Shut Down All Borders In Kogi For Elections

THE Nigerian Police, in conjunction with sister security agencies has announced the shutting down of all entry and exit borders in Kogi State as part of measures to beef up security for the November 16th governorship and Kogi West Senatorial elections.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Police Hakeem Busari disclosed this while addressing journalists at the Police headquarters in Lokoja on Wednesday. CP Busari said it will take effect from 12 midnight of Friday 15th November to 6 PM Saturday 16th, November 2019. “Members of the public are advised to adhere strictly with the order as anyone that contravened such order will be dealt with in accordance to the law” he added.
