Police Arrest 39 Persons At Lagos Strip Club During Lockdown

The police command in Lagos on Sunday announced the arrest of 640 persons who flouted the stay at home orders, including 39 who were arrested at a strip club.

In a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a 14-weeks lockdown of movements in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja which took effect from 30th of March. The lockdown was later extended by two weeks.

According to the statement released by Bala Elkana, Lagos police public relations officer, operatives from Idimu police station arrested 39 persons at a strip club in Idimu at about 1:30 am on Friday, April 24th.
Elkana also revealed that 10 persons on Thursday were arrested for organising a party at Lekki Garden.
