Plan to impeach Adamawa State Speaker thicken over Assembly Autonomy

There are plans to impeach the Speaker of Adamawa state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Abbas by other members of the House over Assembly autonomy.

Our reporter reliably gathered that, the State Governor Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who is away for official engagement in United State of America is of the knowledge of the hindrance created by the bureaucrats for full implementation of the financial autonomy in the state.

Sources close to Adamawa State Government House disclosed to our reporter that the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Abbas may probably be supporting the Governor not to implement full autonomy for the house which might have angered other members of the House.

The source further stated that the Governor insisted that the implementation must be done the way the Executive Governors at the Governors Forum want, this instigated members against the speaker and are said to be waiting for the return of the governor to perfect their plan should the speaker fail to negotiate in their favour.

One member who pleaded not to be mentioned wandered why the Governor who was a champion for legislative arm and a legislature himself is reluctant to implement full autonomy for the state assembly just like any other states across the country.

However, all effort to speak with Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Abbas proved abortive.
End.
