PDP NWC moves to postpone the Zonal congress again .

A source within the party hierarchy reliably informed the OBSERVERS TIMES of the moves to postpone the much awaited Peoples Democratic Party PDP Zonal Congresses for South West and North Central.

While the party is waiting for the real reason for its action ,the party rose from an emergency meeting Thursday with a resolution to postpone its South West zonal congress and North central from the 6th to Another date yet to be disclosed.

These decisions were taken just as Governor Seyi Makinde declared that the zone is ready for the Congress  the North Central was not connected to the fact that Gen. Jeremiah Husseini and Ibrahim Mantu expressed thei reservation on the plans to return the North Central Zonal Chairman, Hon Theophilus Daka Shan, a source within the party disclosed that Lt. Gen.Jeremiah Husseini has earlier put a called to Governor Sam Ortom accused the North Central Zonal Chairman of the not helping the party in resolving the crisis that rocks it Plateau Chapter for years

The source said the postponement of the South west is to allow Saraki Committee to visits the key actors and gladiators before the congress as that will help in calming the tension between Former Governor of Ekiti state and the current leader of the South West PDP, Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, the insider source further noted that “the PDP as a party has continued to grow from strength to strength in spite of challenges”, adding that  “Our political adversaries have been put to shame as our party is now more united than ever. The strength and success of our party lie in its ability to resolve its differences amicably in an atmosphere devoid of bitterness, rancour, acrimony and recrimination. This fact is undisputable and legendary,”
