The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday inaugurated three sub committees to help reorganize the party for optimum output.
The PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu inaugurated the sub committees on behalf of the National Chairman, Dr. Iorchia Ayu at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
Senator Anyanwu listed the committees to include the committee to review the suspended PDP manual, the committee on the review of staff audit and the committee to receive tenders from members of the public bidding for contracts with the party.
The first two committees are headed by the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, while the third committee is headed by the Deputy National Secretary,Architect Sodiji Osotojo.
The terms of reference for the committee on the suspended PDP manual is to ascertain the document wether it should be amended or discarded.
While the tenders committee is to ensure accountability and transparency in the award of contracts as terms of reference and the third committee’s term of reference is to audit all party’s staff for records purposes so as to know those that are genuine or not.
The National Secretary, however, said the three committees have one month to complete their assignments.
Responding on behalf of the other committee members, the Deputy National Secretary Architect Sodiji Osotojo, thanked members of the National Working Committee for the confidence reposed on them to carry out the assignment.
Architect Osotojo promised to work within the time frame to deliver on their mandates.
