The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has flagged off its campaign ahead of the October 19 local government election in Kogi State.
Presenting flags on Monday to chairmanship and councilorship candidates of the party in Lokoja, the Chairman,Hon. Enemona Anyebe who presented the flags on behalf of the state Executive charged them to go to the polls and bring victory for the PDP, he expressed optimism that the party will be victorious in the local government polls.
The party also urged its supporters to be vigilant during the election and report any form of electoral malpractice to the appropriate authorities.
The PDP promised to support its candidates with all necessary resources to ensure they emerge victorious in the council polls.
The party highlighted its achievements in the state and assured the people of Kogi that electing PDP candidates will bring more development and progress to the local government areas.
The PDP campaign rally was well attended by party faithful and supporters who expressed their commitment to ensuring victory for the party in the upcoming election.
He said PDP will seek redress in court if it is unjustly denied victory.
In his goodwill messages,the state Publicity of the party , Alhaji Tijani Aruwa on behalf of the leadership of the party called on PDP members to come out enmase to vote for their candidates, noting that October 19th polls will be election and not selection as promised by the Kogi State Independent Election Commission, KSIEC.
