PDP Enugu Chapter Elects Dr. Martin Chukwunweike as New Chairman

The Enugu State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has elected Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, the immediate past commissioner for housing, as its new chairman. The election was held during the state Congress of the party on Saturday, following the expiration of Chief Augustine Nnamani’s tenure.

Other elected officials include Barr Steve Oruruo as vice chairman, Hon Chukwudi Nnadozie as secretary, and Hon. Patrick Okoh as state treasurer. The election was conducted by a delegation from the national secretariat of the party and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The chairman of the State Congress Electoral Committee, Mr. Toni Iyoha, commended Governor Peter Mbah for uniting the party and called on the newly elected officials to support and follow the governor’s leadership style. Dr. Chukwunweike promised to take the party to a greater height and reconcile all aggrieved members to form a formidable front during elections.
