PDP Chairman, Alhaji Momoh Pele, Condemns Attack On Committee Members By Thugs In Ofu LGA, Vows To Punish Members Behind It

 

Kogi East Peoples Democratic Party Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Momoh Pele has vowed to crack down on party members behind the attacked on
Hon. Sunday Shigaba led Committee of the party.

Alhaji Momoh Pele reaction followed yesterday’s attack on Hon. Shigaba and seven other Committee members charge with the responsibility of addressing various petitions arising from the ongoing arrangements for the October Congress of the party.

The armed thugs invaded the committee sitting yesterday at Ojotu in Ofu local government area, inflicting various injuries on Hon Shigaba and others.

The hired thugs also carted away with their phones and money.

Momoh Pele said those who failed to show respect for the party leadership and the committee members will face sanctions, including possible expulsion from the party.

The hired hoodlum comprise of suspected members of the All Progressive Congress that came in solidarity with their pay masters.

An eyewitness who corroborated the incident, confirmed that t the thugs are known faces but came in Company of some PDP stalwarts who are uncomfortable with the ongoing Committee investigation into their petitions.

The committee members are currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed location
