The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, led by Chairman and former Senate President Dr. Adolphus Wabara, recently paid a visit to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed at the Government House in Bauchi. The meeting aimed to address the party’s current challenges and recognize the governor’s vital role in reshaping the party.
Dr. Wabara expressed dissatisfaction with recent events within the party, particularly the National Working Committee (NWC) and Rivers State crisis. “We are not happy with what is happening in the party, and I think Nigerians are not happy with what is happening in the PDP,” he stated .
Despite these challenges, the PDP BOT chairman commended Governor Bala for his numerous developmental achievements, citing him as a symbol of unity within the party. The governor’s leadership as chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum is crucial in promoting genuine reconciliation and development for sustainable growth.
However, Governor Bala acknowledged the PDP BOT members as the party’s think tank, comprising experienced leaders. He appreciated their visit and assured them of the PDP governors’ solid support. The meeting concluded with a closed-door session, indicating a commitment to addressing the party’s issues and working towards a unified front.
