‘Painful loss’, Senator Natasha mourns Ifeanyi Uba

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has joined her colleagues in mourning the passing of Senator Ifeanyi Uba, who died on July 27, 2024, in a London hospital.

“I’m deeply saddened by the loss of my colleague and brother, Senator Ifeanyi Uba. His contributions to our nation will never be forgotten,” Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said.

Senator Uba was a prominent businessman, philanthropist, and legislator who made significant contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector and the lives of its citizens.

“Senator Uba was a true patriot and a champion of the people. His legacy will continue to inspire us to work towards a better Nigeria,” Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan added.

Other colleagues praised Senator Uba’s dedication and commitment to his constituents and the nation, with one senator saying, “He was a shining example of what it means to serve with integrity and compassion.”

The late Senator Uba was said to have departed Nigeria for the UK, two days ago.

He would have been 53 on September 3.
