Oyo State Government Shows Appreciation for Nigerian Air Force’s Contributions to Security

 

The Oyo State Government has expressed its gratitude to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for their invaluable contributions to the security of the state through ‘Operation Burst’. This was made known during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, and his entourage to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, this afternoon.

During the visit, Governor Makinde discussed the upcoming construction of the air force base in Ajia and announced that the state government has completed payment of compensation to those affected by the development. He also revealed that the reconstruction of the 21 km Airport-Ajia-New Ife Express Road, including a spur to Amuloko, has been recommenced to facilitate ease of movement in the area.

The Governor’s appreciation for the NAF’s contributions to the security of Oyo State is a testament to the importance of collaboration between the government and security agencies in maintaining peace and order in the state. The visit and discussions also highlight the state government’s commitment to supporting the NAF’s operations and ensuring the well-being of its personnel.
