Contrary to reports, Nigeria’s Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, was not involved in an auto crash.
Recall that some media houses had reported that the VP was involved in a auto crash on his way to Abuja airport this morning but NewsDirect can confirm that it was a fake news.
According to a media aide of the VP, “the VP while heading to the airport this morning, came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, & ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance,” he told News Direct.
He added that the VP “proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday’s attack in Owo.”
VP’s security and medical teams assisted in removing the victim from the crushed vehicle resulting from a somersault. And transported patient to Airforce base hospital. It was a solo accident.
The car had summersalted on the opposite lane and was impaled on a tree.
