PDP Stalwarts and the electorates in Olamboro local government, have pledged to play a crucial role towards the emergence and victory of Dr Joseph Erico, in the forthcoming November governorship election This became imperative according to the Ag chairman of PDP, Olamaboro Local Government ,Alhaji Mohammed Yakubu and leader of the party in the area,Alhaji Alfa Madije, during a routine visit to formally notify the people of his intention to vie for Kogi Governor The decision was made in the enlarged meeting organised at the leader of the party’s compound in Olamaboro,Alhaji Alfa Madije assured Joseph Erico that his desire to stabilise the economy of Kogi state,when elected will be the pride of the people of the area .
The party leadership said the PDP Delegates from Olamaboro will carry out a bulk assignment during the primaries, to place the candidature of Joseph Erico at the front burner ahead of other contenders Also speaking during the visit to Okpo,headquarters of Olamaboro,the PDP Women leader,Elizabeth Oguche, stressed the need to carry along women in the project deliver a governor from the area,saying they have yearn for such a long time In the same vein,the forum of 13 ward chairmen of PDP from Ankpa local government area, have endorsed the choice of Joseph Erico for the next governorship election in the state slated for November 16 The forum during a courtesy visit led by the Chairman,Husseini Musa commended the doggednes and determination of PDP candidate,Dr Joseph Erico,inspite of his party’s opposition status, to wrest power from the APC in November 16.
He said Engineer Dr Joseph Erico has proved beyond reasonable doubt, of efforts to liberate the people of kogi state from the dearth of infrastructure and non salary payment in the last three and half years He appealed to the security expert to attract more developmental projects to the area when elected in November,promising total suport to his aspiration Responding to the address,the Security expert promised to dislodge Kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the governorship poll slated for November 16 He urged the people of the area to sustain the spirit and desire to change the leadeship of the state,for a better perfomance,through massive vote for him by November Hon Mohammed Yakubu OC, the Divisional chairman, Divisonal secretary Abdulmalik Gabaidu were among the leaders that graced the occassion
