One Year In Office, COVID-19, Election Petition Tribunal affected my performance. , speaks about challenges and prospects.

I want to start by expressing my gratitude to almighty God and my good people of DEKINA/ BASSA Federal Constituency for the journey so far. Your patience and understanding during this first important phase has been very commendable.

The lingering battles to sustain our mandate at the Election Petition Tribunal all the way to the Appeal Court I must admit really slowed us down when we hit the ground running to take off. But we were reinvigorated by our final victory.Amidst the challenges, we still commenced the opening up of job prospects and opportunities for our teeming unemployed youths.

We were at the final stages of the arrangements to Train and empower our people in diverse vocations and skills before f the COVID 19 pandemic broke out.The arrangements will however be carried out when the COVID 19 pandemic is over to cushion the impact. I have also decided to put in place projects that will enable us convert the challenges of the moment into the prospect of tomorrow.

The challenges of COVID 19 pandemic have enabled to rearrange my priorities. I have seen the greater need to equip our Primary Health care centers to a level that there can effectively and efficiently handle basic health care emergencies before referrals to bigger Hospitals when situation warrant.

This will go a long way in reducing high mortality rate occasioned by distance to good health care facilities by our people in time past.On our Legislative responsibilities, we have been able to break into the stiff and sophisticated politics of the National Assembly which has been one of the major challenges for my predecessors.

I am also intensively lobbying my colleagues and principal officers not to only the quick passage of our lined up bills and motions but to hasten the implementation. Our empowerment programs, educational supports, equipping and upgrade of our Primary Health care centers, Provision of Farmers inputs and many more will be rolled out immediately the ban on social gathering is lifted.Once again I thank you all.

May almighty Allah our lives from the COVID 19 pandemic to witness and benefit from the remaining years.Stay safe.

COVID 19 is real.
Signed; RT. HON HASSAN ABDULLAHI,

(Your Rep, Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency)
