Women Affairs and Social Developement Commissioner for Borno state,Hajiya Zuwera Gambo says the infrastructural and human development template of the state Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum in the last one year has justify his ascension to the leadership of the state.
The commissioner bare her mind during a press briefing to mark the one year anniversary of the present administration in the state,saying the total reform of all facets of the state, is the right step in the right direction.
The Commissioner says her Ministry benefited from the renovation of it’s headquarters along with some of it’s agencies and departments under it, to rejig and refocus the activities of the present administration.
‘As a Ministry whose activities is centred on women both the vulnerable and people with special needs and social welfare,we are encouraged by the total overhaul of all our offices,programs and policies.’
‘The Ministry in the last one year with the political will of the state Governor and support had carried a major reform and re-organisation in all it’s facilities to mitigate the current emergencies.’
Mrs Zuwera Gambo assured the Governor that her Ministry is on the same page, with his desire to transform the entire adminstrative system of the state government, in his bid to create more developement outlets.
She praised the staffs of the Ministry and appeal for more cooperation from all and sundry, so as to achieve more developement in the coming years.
