Social crusader, Comrade Usman Austin Okai has berated Kogi Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the commissioning of Tertiary Institutions fund TETFUND project in Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, saying this is alien to the country .
They also faulted the university Vice- Chancellor for misleading the state governor who had no single project in the Institution in the last six years, after he took over the IGR of the Institution.
He called on the managers of TETFUND to be wary of Kogi Governor politicising it’s jobs in the state university, that was hitherto not applicable, after he had abandoned his responsibility to the state University.
The social crusader challenged Kogi Governor to desist from underfunding the state university located in Anyigba, deliberately without recourse to lay down procedures.
He recalled the statement by the Governor allowing the Institution to take charge of it’s IGR as political and belated, after his failure of kangaroo TSA, challenging him to account for the collection of tertiary institutions IGR in Kogi for six years running now, and the concession to PAAU.
The Vice- Chancellor of the university ought have resigned or be sanctioned for the abberation, as no institutions in the country with TETFUND projects was commissioned by any state government.
He asked kogi Indigenes both in the private and public sector not to allow the spirit of the founding fathers of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba to die, since they had good concept and intentions.
The media blogger said efforts should be geared towards attracting private conglomerates into the completion of the proposed 250 bed Kogi State University Teaching Hospital, Anyigba since the state government has failed in it’s responsibility and abandoned the project at 30 % conception
‘Coming to commission federal government projects in an environment were he can not pay 24 months salaries to it’s workers, yet advertising for fresh employment into the Institution is a gross abberation.’. Okai murmured.
It is sad that even some workers of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa have not been paid their salaries in the last 31 months, but employed about 100 new staffs recently.
‘We are not unaware that the new employment carried out at the State College of Education Ankpa was lopsided and generated alot of crises, this is sad.’ Okai said.
